On Thursday 6 September we had a visit from some lovely guests, here at Creepy crawlies come to The Old Downs Residential Care Home, in the form of a rat, a centipede, an African snail, a tarantula and a beautiful snake.
Zoolab, the company that brought the little critters for a show and tell, really made the residents feel comfortable around the animals and took their time taking each animal around to each resident so they could have a look, a pet and even a hold.
The staff member from Zoolab also explained all about the animals, which some of the residents found really interesting. Eileen said, “I really love the feel of this snake – it’s not what I expected.”
Many other residents enjoyed this entertainment and we look forward to booking some more show and tells with animals!
