We had an amazing weekend last week with ‘Princess Christian Care Home on tour’ to our very first Sports Day and barbecue!
We were kindly invited by one of our local churches to attend their event, along with other Homes, churches and youth groups from the local area. The weather was on our side and all the residents, staff and volunteers who attended were very well looked after.
We had some terrific laughs all day, with the different sports activities taking place. Our Manager Mario got into the full spirit of things and could be seen doing an impressive aerobic warm up!
It was fantastic to socialise and we were sad when the day came to an end. Our residents really enjoyed meeting new friends and we are delighted that some will be coming to volunteer at Princess Christian.
To finish, we were presented with a framed participation certificate, as well as medals and a trophy for winning the football. One of our residents said it took him back in time, watching all the children taking part in races and having fun.
What a fantastic day! Huge thanks to our hosts who looked after us so well and gave us such a brilliant time.
