My mother was moved to Abbotsleigh after being discharged from hospital, having had numerous falls at home and looking very frail and thin. I was a bit apprehensive about her going into a care home because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but I need not have worried because her care has been second to none and they have not had one case of Coronavirus. She has now been there for five months and she is very happy. She has put on weight and enjoys taking part in the numerous activities that they arrange for the residents and especially enjoys the singing. The staff are so lovely and caring and on her birthday we sat outside enjoying the sun and the staff came out with a cake and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to her; it was such a lovely gesture and I believe they do the same for all the residents on their birthdays. My brother and I would like to thank you all for looking after her so well especially at this difficult time.
