Dementia and support
As a leading provider of Dementia Care, we understand the importance of liaising with and supporting the families of those in our Homes.
We all experience very different emotions when someone we care for needs to move in to a Care Home and many of us do not expect to feel the way we do. Our doors are always open, and our team members are on hand to give support – be it for a friendly chat or to offer books, brochures or other helpful information.
Many of our Homes have their own Dementia Support Groups, which have been formed specifically to help residents’ relatives deal with difficult feelings in the comfort of those who are sharing the same experiences. These have been an invaluable way of bringing people together who are on the same Dementia journey.
