On Monday we had a wonderful time with our residents at Abbotsleigh Care Home making gifts for the Staplehurst Primary School children who were coming to sing for us at the end of the week.
Our hairdresser paid us a visit to get everyone looking smart leading up to Christmas and we also had a Christmas carol performance from the Thomas Clark Quire who sang and played instruments, dressed in period costume.
Midweek we had a session of Christmas crafts, which included making napkin rings and painting the Abbotsleigh Christmas Post Box – a ‘must’ for the festive season!
We had fun making some jolly indoor snowmen on Thursday. They were each made and named by our residents – one was called Charlie the Snowman and the other, Snowy the Snowman!
Friday was our Christmas jumper day and we had a beautiful musical performance from the Staplehurst Primary School choir. The children were fantastic and we all thoroughly enjoyed listening to them.
