Visiting singers, Pet Therapy animals, sugar mice and BBQ fun!
We’ve had a variety of super experiences over the last few weeks at Hengist Field Care Home.
We were delighted to welcome a group of Entertainers called ‘The Spare Parts‘ one Friday. The group performed a selection of songs with actions and looked very smart in their matching red and white outfits. We all enjoyed their enthusiasm and loved joining in.
Our friendly resident tortoise ‘Humphrey’ made a welcome return to see our residents. He was well looked after and enjoyed lots of attention and cuddles during our Pet Therapy session
During one of our arts and crafts sessions, we had a go at sweet-making and moulded pink sugar mice, which was great fun!
On Sunday 22 July we held our Summer BBQ which was a brilliant event, with a wonderful turn out of family and friends. Guests, staff and residents really got into the party mood, enjoying the food, drinks and party atmosphere – with some dancing to boot! It was so special to see so many smiling faces in our garden and we were thrilled with the summer weather.
