Happy 18th issue Nellsar!
The Nellsar marketing team always love creating the Nellsar newsletter and with the latest issue – our eighteenth – we feel even more proud of what we are now able to reflect of our Care Homes, our team members, and our leadership team.
The Nellsar News has become a treasured publication – it is a platform for sharing our achievements in our team members’ training, development and recognition. It enables us to showcase our fantastic catering provision, and the wonderful social and recreational activities that our residents enjoy.
Apprenticeship programs at Nellsar
In this issue we are proud to present a special article from our Learning and Development Manager, Marisa, who talks about supporting the future of Nellsar through apprenticeships. At Nellsar, we invest in our team members to provide them with the tools and knowledge that they need to excel in their roles.
Celebrations in our Care Home
Celebrations in our Homes are plentiful. If we aren’t throwing parties for our residents’ birthdays and anniversaries, we’re busy celebrating special calendar dates throughout the year. This issue, you’ll see many photographs from Dignity Action Day, Chinese New Year, Pancake Day, Valentine’s Day, Mothers’ Day and Nutrition & Hydration Week.
The Nellsar Mini Cruise
March 2024 saw the culmination of a three-month-long virtual mini cruise which has been a huge success among our residents. From the comfort of their armchairs, our ladies and gentlemen travelled to Mexico, Egypt and Japan throughout January, February and March. Our teams outdid themselves in creating amazing decorations and costumes, themed activities and events with music and props, and tasty food experiences to tempt the tastebuds. We’re very happy to include the “Meet Our Residents” feature and this issue we bring you an endearing Q&A with eight of our residents from Lukestone Care Home and Lulworth House Residential Care Home in Maidstone, and Princess Christian Care Home in Surrey.
