Residents, friends and volunteers come together to make over Lukestone’s hanging baskets and planters
Every year at Lukestone Care Home we hold our ‘Garden Day’ where we invite relatives to join us to plant up all the hanging baskets and planters in our front and back gardens. We ask them to donate their time and we reward them by giving them a nice lunch.
This year, we had lots of helpers and we also incorporated a cake sale and raffle fundraiser with donations going to the Alzheimer’s Society.
As you can see, residents joined in with helping to plant the baskets and everyone was very enthusiastic.
It was a brilliant day and once again our garden looks very smart, all ready to be enjoyed during the summer.
A great big ‘thank you’ to all our helpers for making our garden look lovely.
