It is more important than ever to bring the joy of Christmas into Nellsar’s Care Homes and we’ll be doing it with the help of The Bel Canto Sopranos this December.
As the Coronavirus pandemic continues to restrict what we can and can’t do this Christmas, we are having to be very creative in planning festive things for our residents, relatives and friends to enjoy.
Our Recreation and Well-Being Manager Viv Stead has organised for each Home to have a personalised online Christmas concert full of festive cheer – with The Bel Canto Sopranos, a classical crossover group.
Established soprano singers Gemma Turner, Angie Diggens and Carrie Audit will record and supply a special virtual concert for each of our Care Homes to play on their SmartTVs in our residents’ lounges.
Our residents can sing along with the song sheets provided and we’ll be inviting our families to take part from the comfort of their own homes.
Viv Stead said, “The best bit is that our families can send their loved ones a short video clip to be shown throughout the concert, including grandchildren saying Happy Christmas or wearing cheery Christmas outfits! I’m very excited about it!”
