Last week we celebrated National Carers Week (7-13 June) across our Nellsar Homes.
To recognise the amazing work of all our Care staff, many of our Homes hosted ‘Cake for Carers‘ – creating wonderful cake creations to treat their teams and say thank you for all their hard work.
We hope all our Carers enjoyed a good slice of cake (or two!) during the week, as we celebrated their compassion and dedication to our residents.
Chef Ellen at Bromley Park Care Home made a stunning cake centrepiece, as well as colourful cupcakes with macarons for the staff at her Home.
Hengist Field Care Home staff enjoyed an eye-catching sponge cake, decorated with a chocolate ‘HF‘ and fresh strawberries and kiwi, with iced cupcakes surrounding it covered with colourful icing and chocolate dipped strawberries. Delicious!
At Lulworth House Residential Care Home, residents came together during their weekly Baking Club to make a cake and cupcakes for the staff team. One of their lady residents helped with the design and chose the butterflies to order, as they were the colour of the staff uniforms; pink for Carers, purple for Seniors and blue for the Recreation and Well-Being team.
Lukestone Care Home’s cake featured a smiling resident relaxing in a chair, made from icing no less!
Leigh at Meyer House Care Home made an amazing cake and cupcakes to thank staff. They were covered with icing and fresh strawberries and went down a treat with everyone!
Princess Christian Care Home staff were treated to a magnificent ‘Proud to be a Carer’ cake made by Chef Cosmin. Covered in fresh strawberries, raspberries, cherries, blueberries and dripped chocolate and weighing an impressive 10kg, the cake was cut and enjoyed by all staff at a party at the Home during the week.
Heather at St Winifreds Care Home made two delicious cakes, decorated with pink and purple icing with ‘NCW‘ (National Carers Week) icing design – fantastic!
