Corporate News

The ‘Corporate News’ section in this issue features an uplifting ‘Message from the MD’ – a great reflection of the year we have had across our Nellsar Homes. We’re proud to share our new values with you and the ethos behind them, along with a technology update on ‘Care Vision’ by our Quality Improvement and Innovation Manager, Luminita.

Care Vision

We’re extremely proud of our awards success this year, with many of our team members achieving finalist status across three events, and two wins at The Surrey Care Awards for our Head Chef and Recreation and Well-Being Team a Princess Christian Care Home.

Congratulations Cosmin!

Well done to our Recreation and Well-Being Team!

Special Features

We’ve included a very special feature on a groundbreaking Mealtime Dementia Care Initiative (MDCI) founded by our Head of Catering Services, Adrian, and our Mealtime Lead at Princess Christian, Adelina. We discuss how MDCI aims to address the physical and emotional needs of each resident living with Dementia, supporting them throughout mealtimes and beyond.

MDCI was founded by Adrian Silaghi and Adelina Abraham

It’s a great time for all things nutrition at Nellsar, with a feature from our Head of Nutrition and Wellness, Leni, on Menopause Awareness in the workplace, along with an article from Katja, our Nutrition and Hydration Lead at Lulworth House, on Speech and Language Therapy and Dietetics.

Nellsar are working towards becoming an accredited menopause friendly workplace

We’re pleased to tell you about Namaste Care training among our Homes too – delving into what it is, and the benefits that Namaste treatments bring to our residents with Dementia. It can help relieve joint and muscle pain, reduce stress levels, and has profound positive effects on the nervous and circulatory system. Not forgetting reduced feelings of loneliness and boredom, and enhanced feelings of dignity.
