Nellsar’s Recreation and Well-Being Manager Viv Stead this week launched a competition for staff across Nellsar’s 13 Care Homes to ‘tart up their trollies’!
Her message to her Recreation and Well-Being Teams read;
“I know a lot of our residents are spending more time in their rooms and you are taking activities to them, so I thought we would have a bit of fun and see who can put a smile on their faces by ‘Tarting up your trolley’! If you haven’t got an activities trolley, you can improvise with whatever you have. There are no rules to this competition, so go all out! All it must do is spread a little cheer to our residents and make them smile. I know how competitive you all are and creative, so I can’t wait!
The idea sparked from a competition Nellsar ran at Christmas time back in 2017, when residents and staff were challenged to ‘Pimp your Zimmer‘; an amazing array of decorated Zimmer frames and walking aids followed, creating a real buzz across our Homes and a lot of laughs along the way!
Trolley photographs and videos are to be submitted by staff to Viv by Monday 11th May, so watch this space!
