Our latest edition of Nellsar News is now available to view online. Produced three times a year, this latest issue of our Newsletter is packed with 48 pages of corporate news, special features and articles from our group of 13 Homes.
The opening message from Nellsar’s Managing Director, Martin Barrett, thanks staff, residents and families for their dedication and spirit throughout the recent COVID-19 pandemic, and this is a strong theme throughout the edition.
The Newsletter features a coronavirus update, news on testing in our Homes and has a feature on ‘What it Means to be a Care Worker’ in which we hear from our Carers and learn what makes them passionate about what they do and how they’ve coped through the lockdown. We also hear from one of our Managers whose career at Nellsar has spanned 26 years; in her retirement she describes her commitment to care, what it’s like to run a care home and the rewards a care career can bring.
There’s an article too from our Nutrition and Wellness Manager, Leni Wood, entitled ‘Stimulating Appetites and Boosting Nutrition’ which explains how we can make the best culinary choices to boost our mood and maintain good digestive health.
And we also hear from our Homes, including how they’ve been keeping their residents entertained during the pandemic and how they’ve embraced technology to stay connected with loved ones.
Above all, this issue reflects the Nellsar spirit and we’re delighted to feature so many wonderful photographs of our residents enjoying activities, as well as heartfelt messages of support from families and friends.
